CANVAS IN MOTION: SUEÑOS DE AGAVE

 ENGLISH      ESPAÑOL

After seeing my art hang on the walls of the art studio, I thought of all the places I’d like my paintings to be and thought, “Why not take them to the places that I want them to be seen!” And so, I took a trip to LACMA with my oil painting, "Sueños de Agave.“

Art in motion can be created through a visual performance such as dance, live-painting, and acting. However, my canvas moves to wherever I lead, quite literally!

When you visit museums and fine art institutions, you rarely see Latin American art. If present, they are either ancient artifacts or paintings by deceased artists, usually the same recycled ones as Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, and David Alfaro Siqueiros. However, Latin American artists are alive, well, and creating new fine art!

Since there is not much representation, I decided to take my canvases off the studio walls and onto the grounds of these institutions! After all, art is for the people and I am presenting it so they know that we are here.

Make sure to stay tuned for the next location. Everyone subscribed to my newsletter will receive early notifications and exclusive insight on what goes on behind the scenes!
